Swedish born N. Jonas Englund grew
up in an artistic home. He began his career as a musician,
but found himself drawn to painting and turned to art full
time over twenty years ago.
Englund has since
spent most of his professional life in the United States.
He is now back in Hawai'i after several years on the mainland,
and most recently in Europe. We are happy to welcome him to
our gallery as a featured artist.
Englund's contemporary
interpretations of classical art is a palatable mix of tradition
and vanguard. We believe that his unique stylistic range will
contribute considerably to the enjoyment of our clients.
Most recently Englund
ventured on yet another creative endeavor, in his quest to
capture beauty. "Monumental Miniatures" is his title
on an attempt to relate the drama of the Hawaiian landscape
in a more intimate format.
