Celebrate the Living Light

Born in Florida, Lance Fairly moved around the nation as a child - his father was in the U.S. Navy. After brief studies at the Ringling School of Art in Sarasota, Florida, he stayed in the Virgin Islands. Hawaii has been his home for nearly twenty years.

Fairly's quest to capture the inner light of the Creation is shared by masters before him - in particular, the men behind the Hudson River School. His works clearly pays tribute to the tradition preceding him, but Fairly is definitely a modern master. He pioneered Lumiflo™, a technique developed to infuse a greater sense of light and depth into his paintings.

Whatever medium, Fairly's imagery is unique. A largely self-taught Renaissance man whose experiences from the forests to the mountains, from the shore to the open sea, bring us such joy to behold.
